Deko-ze’s
first ever licensed DJ Mix entitled ‘Delicious’ is out now on Hi-Bias Records!

The CD was released
August 8, 2006 in Canada; to be followed by a September 5, 2006 release date in the USA.

‘Delicious’ is typical of Deko-ze’s style and approach to programming, with tracks running the range from tribal and funky house to electro and hed-kandi style sunny grooves.  Overall, it is a fun and fresh mix, fused together in a surprising and effective way that only Deko-ze can pull off.

The CD will be stocked in progressive record stores across the country.  You can also order your copy of the CD, or download a digital copy, at Hi-Bias Records.  Just click the logo.

DELICIOUS TRACK LISTING

1. Little Green Men - Through With You
(Chus & Ceballos Mix)

These wee fellows are also the men behind the excellent Forensic label!  I really dug the Original Version of this track, but Spain’s Chus & Ceballos showed up and kicked things up a notch!

2. Terranova & Austin Leeds pres. Hi Lo - Shake Me
(T&L Tribal Miami Mix)

“Rock me, move me, shake me, teach me!”  This call to arms has become a staple in my sets of late! It will school you well!

3. Carlo Lio – Everybody
(Original)

Ever since I heard this Toronto dj / producer attack K-os’s classic “Living On Video”, I have really been into his work.  Here, we get a dark tribal rumbler – perfect to close your eyes, clench your fists and lose yourself in.  This will be out on Nathan Barato’s Rawthentic label with remixes from Roaches and Paranoid Jack!

4. Danny Tenaglia – Dibiza  [Bring The Drums Back]
(Kick Ass Mix)

My “Delicious” mix would not be complete without representation from
Mr. Tenaglia.  He has been an influence on my sound ever since I first heard  “Bottom Heavy” in 1994.  “Bring The Drums Back”?  The Man knows what’s he’s talking about!

5. Tom Stephan feat. Katherine Ellis – Here I Come
(Superchumbo Vocal Mix

Here is another man I’ve had my eye on for quite some time (and no, not for that reason)!  He has a way of manipulating mechanical noises and technoid sounds that makes both the gay and str8 dance-floors move!

6. Nick Fiorucci feat. jaQe – Need Your Love
(Deko-ze Remix)

This is a remix I am really proud of!!  From the second I heard jaQe’s raw and sexy vocal, I knew I wanted to have a go at remixing this!   I twisted things up and watched this track grow into a MONSTER!!  Watch for a Fall release with Nick’s Original mix as well as remixes from Olav Bosaski, Oxy and Fierce & Jinx!!

7. Starkillers – Discoteka
(Kobbe & Austin Leeds Remix)

The CZ Massive would have my head if I didn’t include this track in this mix!

8. Mark Knight feat Katherine Ellis – Insatiable
(Original)

Big, loud, dirty and driving!  Let me take a big juicy bite outta that!

9. Paranoid Jack - Big Slick
(Original)

Manny is da shit — plain and simple!  His big room productions and remixes have been featured on labels such as Thrust, Lot 49, Fade, Slush, Stickman, Aquarius and Catalysts Records.  He also runs his own label, Fifth Sun, with partner Tim Patrick.   He is helping put Toronto on the map and I am proud to have this upcoming Fifth Sun release on “Delicious”.

10. Deko-ze ‘n Gavo - This Time
(Funky Way Mix)

The original mix Gavo and I did of ‘This Time’ is quite a bit darker.  But the song took on a whole new life when we funked it out, London-style! It went from tasty to mouth-watering, and has been driving dance-floors wild ever since!

11. Michael Antonio - I Won't Sleep
(Vocal Dub)

How this track didn’t get licensed in North America is beyond me!  This delectable UK funky house track does the biz every time I drop it!

12. Sherrie Lea - Nothing Better Than Life
(Deko-ze ‘n Fiorucci Fierce Club)

So have you seen the hot porn star on YouTube dancing around to Sherrie Lea’s previous hit “Spellbound”?  It’s “something” to see!!  Anyways, “Nothing Better Than Life” is the follow-up single, and I’m quite pleased with both the breezy hed-kandi style mix I did with Gavo, and this more club-friendly version.

13. Bionic Phunk – In My Head
(Playmaker & Pilch Silky Club Mix)

“I heard you play last night and I’ve got this song in my head....”  If I had a nickel for every time someone has come up to me in the DJ booth and said.....

14. Outnow – A Song 4 U
(Deux Dubalized Remix)

What better way to finish the mix than with this secret weapon!  The same people who brought last year’s smash “Sun Rising Up” have returned with this sexy, funky electro track.  Delicious, indeed!
